Hi Toby,
Our 3rd assignment, are we allowed to use Dreamweaver to create our website...or are we expected to only use a text editor?
Secondly, my ISP doesn't provide web hosting, can I publish my final assignment on the osprey server? Or do I have to organise myself a web host for this assignment?
Thanks,
Thomas.
Hope I this isn't one of my stupid, and obviously overlooked

I tried opening my second assignment on a linux machine with firefox 2 installed...
The problem is that it seems to overlap some of my images and text.
However I've tested on my windows machine within:
Mozilla Firefox versions: 1, 2, 3;
Explorer versions 6,7;
Safari version 3;
Google chrome;
Netscape navigator 9; and
Opera version 9
All of which show consistently as I have de

i dont think you should worry about it...
as with assignment 1 the pictures don't show for us...but they will show on their side...
what i have found that works in some instances is that if you open each of your images from within your folder on the ospery server...the images i assume, get cached in you pc's memory...and thus when you open your web page on the server everythings s

One other question I have is...
Within my Assignment 2 I have added a link to my Assignment 3 project...
This is within my folder on the Osprey server...
however when the link is clicked it doesn't go through...
Could you check for me whether my URL address is correct?
Thanks Again!

Hi Everyone!
I have been struggling like crazy with the Java scripting section from our master skill book!
The exercises have been ok...providing I follow then step by step...however with certain aspects, NAMELY the freaking TOOL TIP script!
I have already handed assignment 2 in and managed quite well to complete it. However the only thing, I think I left out was the "Tool tip"

Crap hope I haven't missed anything out...though I did receive my mark for the assignment via email...
Hope this helps.

With regards to pictures not showing...
I think I figured it out...
Once uploaded your files to Opsrey Server...double click on all you files including image files (as if to view them individually from the osprey server).
Then view your webpage...All images will show.
Hope this helps...

thanks for the feedback. In the scenario with spaces, could I use underscore instead?
Should I change anything from my side...or is it not important for images to work my side?
I have a gif version to the santa se stucco image...should I replace it?
Thanks again...

Hi Toby,
Initially I had my pictures for my Assignment 1 in an "Image" folder...
they didn't show.
I've eliminated the folder and place the pictures in the same folder as my HTML file...however still no luck?
Is this something to worry about, due to it being a fault of mine?
In both instances i have adjusted the HTML code accordingly to direct the pictures to my s

Hey Guys & Girls,
Came across an awesome example of a brilliantly designed website!
Check it out...it blew me away...and I want to create work like this one day!
www.brandvanegmond.nl
This website does require java applets and activeX addons. Speakers come in handy aswell to experience the application of music to the entire website.
I haven't tried seeing this site under d

The minute this web page opened I wanted to just get it off my screen!
• No grid layout in design visible, website seems to be broken up into 4 columns.
• Scattered Multi-colored text not really appropriate, disorientating to the eyes,
ever mind looks amateurish.
• Text content seems to have grammatical errors, repetitive, and some times mak

I have to agree with one of Steve's comments.
At the speed that the internet is growing and diversifying, the only set back that I do see is the ability to adapt.
I work within a company that in the last 12 years has expanded and changed their entire infrastructure in order to make use of the internet more efficiently.
The only set back that I personally see is the lack of knowledge w
