Pictures not showing on Ospery...Assignment 1

Hi Toby,

Initially I had my pictures for my Assignment 1 in an "Image" folder...
they didn't show.

I've eliminated the folder and place the pictures in the same folder as my HTML file...however still no luck?

Is this something to worry about, due to it being a fault of mine?

In both instances i have adjusted the HTML code accordingly to direct the pictures to my sight? I have also made sure that everything is case sensitive?

When I use: osprey.unisa.ac.za/toby/kalebka/Assignment%201/
I can see your picture - so it is working for me

Be carefull of spaces in file and folder names - also use lowercase letters only
You used Assignment 1 and santa se stucco.bmp which has spaces


santa se stucco.bmp - normally we use only jpg and gif picture files on the web - bmp files tend to be very large for their size

thanks for the feedback. In the scenario with spaces, could I use underscore instead?

Should I change anything from my side...or is it not important for images to work my side?
I have a gif version to the santa se stucco image...should I replace it?

If it works then do not worry about it for now - rather than an underscore use a minus character
If you use an underscore the link underlining on the html page may hide it
