Enjoy.

Is it a developer conference? I sometimes think SA lacks development(none microsoft) indabas and conferences.

Agree!! I drove past the Cape Town convention centre the other day and saw and advert for Oracle Apps. No advertising in the newspapers on what it was going to be about. Just wish they would advertise something a bit better. sad smiley

well since you guys already inside the software and web dev industry you can do something about that for an example i live here in northern cape and there are no or few web designers and developers so if there is such gatherings one can be inspired

Mac enjoy the conference. I hope Unisa could organize ICT Indaba/conferences for the students who are studying computers.

I think a conference is totally useless... There's nothing new at the con that will be said that you don't already know. Conferences are good for beginners, high school geeks or maybe politicians. Something that will be useful for pro hackers is something like a gamegem or perhaps a hackerton.

They are also very good for networking!

A friend once told me "hack to learn, don't learn to hack".

Hacking is as despicable as spam, and no better than being a peeping-tom.

You just made me remember an interview panel that I was on for appointing an IT tech. The guy came in and all went well until he said that he wanted to learn the ways of hacking and use it to secure workstations and networks. Well... He did'nt get the job!!

When I'm talking about hackers, im referring to real engineers and scientists, not some 12 year old in their bedroom taking chances. Remember if you want to enter gamegems or hackertons, you must have code brilliancy for your apps otherwise you are just playing with your luck.
