there are many possible reasons... I would suggest that you start by uploading your site to another free hosting service... it could be that your provider has disabled error reporting...
if that's not the issue then start debugging...
use echo for all your conditional statements to see at which point your data output is not as expected

Mr Mac... I have a problem
I've coded and tested EVERYTHING and it all works fine except for the fixtures pages... now when I got to that part I checked the db table and saw that there is only 1 field for opponents... which led me to the following thread: Fixtures.
I know I inboxed you on this forum to ask this very same question but I got no reply... so I just went ahead.

which text editor are you using? If you use notepad++ it will highlight your code as you go along, then syntax errors are easily recognizable.

Based on the project brief... the only requirement was for 1 single admin:admin account to be able to log in so as to verify that your escalated privileges are limited to only users with access rights.
I know in the example players TABLE there are columns for username and password, I've not seen any use for it thus fur so I have omitted them, my admin account is verified from a separate t

As per the screenshot of the list_players.php page.... the fields containing links for editing and deleting a player is repeated and it looks rather stupid (in my humble opinion)
I hope it's ok if I instead, set the player's first name as an anchor which links directly to edit/delete options...
like you said, as long as the functions work....
I guess I'm more design orie

my query syntax that works is as follows:
Language: PHP$query = mysql_query("UPDATE `players` SET `name` = ';$name'; WHERE `player_id` = ';$id';");
Hope that helps

I had the same issue and was scratching my head for hours... in the end it turned out that the hosting server was the problem... so I switched hosts and discovered that my code was fine all along... so play around on different servers... it is after all, free... so it can't hurt to see which one works best.

The date function returns an integer value... so you can apply operators as per usual

As far as the timezone for the hosting server is concerned... On the web host control panel site it states that the server is located in Germany, but the PHP script fetches the timezone as being somewhere in the US... On a different host it claims another zone... also in the US.... So I know my script works... and that the zone was not set correctly in the php.ini file on the server...

Ok sorted now... it seems the issue was the hosting service that I was using! .... switched over to FWHA and this was sorted, along with another issue I had where the original host gave me 404 errors on the .txt URL.

My account has already been registered... I will add my student number to the html head title tag if it's any consolation
I've decided to go ahead and declare all my code within the same document, to simplify the listing of code in the text file... assuming that there would probably have to be multiple links if I used the INCLUDE method with several files... downside is that it look

As far as the URL is concerned... is it ok if the URL does not contain my student number?
Secondly . . . as far as HTML/CSS is concerned... is it mandatory that this be assigned to a variable within index.php or can we use INCLUDE for separate files?
Thank you

Page 3 of Tutorial letter 101 states in bold underlined text:
This module DOES have an examination.
Page 7 of Tutorial letter 101 status the following:
The portfolio replaces the examination. There is thus no formal sit-down examination.
I am confused.
