Hello, I have labelled my text file with my site url, www.mysite.eu5.org as opposed to:
STEP 2:
• Using Notepad, open a new text file.
• In this text file, type the full URL of your site, and name this file URL.txt.
Do you think I should rename it URL.txt? I am really concerned that if I make this minor change and try to resubmit, I may have issues, server overload, etc. Any thoughts?

Hello Mac, I created the .txt file with my URL but instead of naming it URL.txt, I named it www.mysite.eu5.org.txt. Is it necessary for me to go in and change the name of the .txt file to URL.txt?
No worry, I changed the file name to URL.txt and re-uploaded.

Lol. Just one of the many incredibly stupid things I did before realising that the problem had nothing to do with my code but rather my naming conventions. Lol. I am familiar with init from Python.

Hello, just my two cents worth but I believe that 'init' is a keyword of sorts in MySQL and hence the issue. I see init a lot in the configuration files, etc. I named one of my tables 'select' and had major problems, could not understand why my SQL statements were not executing, then I changed the name of the table to 'selection_table' and everything worked fine. 42609852, God Bless you, I am going to definitely go home and give your suggestion a try. And yes, you are correct because I did try something similair and players 1 to 11 were all updated with just the last player_id, no matter what the position in the selection_table. So if I understand you correctly, you are saying drop the for loop since I have proved that I am able to POST the players[] arra

Yes, the loop displays the players correctly in the table but I am having a problem sending those player_id's to the SQL statement for each position in the selection table. All I have is Language: PHP$players[$i]
once the loop has ended and I am not sure if I tried assigning each iteration of the loop to a variable and then using those variables in my SQL statement like so:

Hello,
Thank you for your response and feedback. The following code allows me to extract the player_id of each player whose checkbox is checked.
Language: PHPLanguage: PHP$players = $_POST[';players';];
$n = count ($players);
for ($i = 0; $i < $n; $i++) {
echo "<tr><td>$players[$i]</td></tr><br>";
My problem is that when

Thank you but I have looked at this. I am still uncertain as to how I can extract the player_id's as an array, then assign them to variables and use those variables to update my Selections table based on the fixture_id posted.

Hello All,
I have made some progress with my Portfolio and I am almost done except for one issue. I have a team_selection page which allows the coach to select a game using radio buttons and the players using checkboxes.
Language: PHPecho "<tr><td>$fname</td><td>$sname</td><td><input type = ';checkbox'; name = ';players[]'; value = $player_id</td

Hello Everyone,
I have made progress and I am now able to draw player information (name and surname) as well as fixture information (opponents, date, venue) into the Selection Page. I use the radio buttons to select the fixture and checkboxes to select the players. I have tested and I am able to successfully post the player_id as well as the fixture_id. Everything else in my portfolio works, a

Hello,
I am 90% done with my Portfolio but I have hit a roadblock of note with the Selections Page. I am not sure how to bring the fixture_id into play with the selection_id so that i can not only query the database and display all players and fixtures but also use radio buttons and check boxes to select a fixture and then select players for that fixture nad post that back to the database so

Hello Mac,
The information passed in the URL from list_players.php is done so with the Edit hyperlink:
Language: PHP<td><a href=edit.php?player_id=$player_id>Edit</a></td>
I then use the following code in my edit.php page to display the infomation in my form:
Language: PHP$player_id = $_GET[';player_id';]

Hello,
May I please have some advice regarding the edit.php page which needs to give the coach the ability to edit existing player information. I am able to update and display a form with player information in edit.php. When I click submit button,the information is 'passed' to my update_data.php script which is then supposed to run my UPDATE statement. This does not seem to be workin
