virtual QList<int> createNewSortAlgorithm(QString sortType, QList<int> ) ; Where is the QList<int> variable name? i.e. virtual QList<int> createNewSortAlgorithm(QString sortType, QList<int> items) ;by sanjivdo - COS3114
I started coding all my classes as template classes and I had endless issues when compiling. I then saw question 7 about BubbleSort which was expecting the QList<int>, so I changed all my code to use QList<int>. Sanjivby sanjivdo - COS3114
I followed all the instrucions in the tutorials and had the problem on my pc. I then tried it on another pc and I got the same issues. I had to copy the file so that I could at least compile and complete the assignments. Sanjivby sanjivdo - COS3114
I left the category as a string field. Is that incorrect?by sanjivdo - COS3114
QList is a template class. DO you provide a type when declaring it? i.e QList<int> myList;by sanjivdo - COS3114
I used QApplication and LogWindow int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { QApplication app(argc, argv); LogWindow lw("debug" lw.setWindowTitle("QProcess Question" Question1 q; lw.show(); return app.exec(); }by sanjivdo - COS3114
I am also having problems executing the code. The code for q3 works and runs fine but when I change the classes to extend from DataObjects i have problems. I finally got it to compile but when I run the application I get the following error: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application."by sanjivdo - COS3114
I was having the same problem and solved it by copying the utils.dll file to the debug folder of the application. i.e. when you run qmake, debug and release folders are created. I copied the utils.dll file to these folders. Sanjivby sanjivdo - COS3114
Sorry I made so many changes to the file I cannot recreate the problem. When I recreate it I will send it to you. Sanjivby sanjivdo - COS3114
When must I use Q_OBJECT in the class definition? Sometimes I get a vtable error when I don't use it and once i got another error when I did use it. Sanjivby sanjivdo - COS3114
thanks. I did that but I got the same error. I then moved all the source code from the .cpp file into the .h file and the error was gone. Its seems like i cannot place any #include in the .cpp file i.e it has to be in the .h file.by sanjivdo - COS3114
I am getting the following error when trying to compile my code: error: `QtValidLicenseForCoreModule' does not name a type I searched on google and 1 of the forums mentions that I must run configure.exe in theQT install folder. I did that but I am still getting the error. Please help Full output: C:\unisa\cos311\projects\assignments\assignment1\question1>make mingw32-make -f Makeby sanjivdo - COS3114
Hi Does anybody have a solution for Exam January 2007 Question 6c? I have no idea how to solve this? Sanjivby sanjivdo - COS211X
HI I am going to try and convert it to post fix notation and then parse the string. In COS211 assignment 2 there was a question to convert from prefix to postfix. Convert that code from c++ to java. Not sure if this will work. I am going to try it this weekend. Sanjivby sanjivdo - COS2144
Hi I don't think I understand the question. Are we supposed to create an applet that plots any function. The function will be value in the parameter element in the HTML page. Is this correct? I created the applet to plot a function but how do I create the function. I am confused. If the function is the parameter from the html, how do I create the function in code? If I use the getParaby sanjivdo - COS2144
How do you declare a array existing of 8 5-byte strings?by sanjivdo - COS2213
Hi Guys I am totally lost. Please point in a direction where I can find my feet. I figured out how to read the characters from the keyboard and how to print to the screen. I have no idea how to go about solving this. Sanjivby sanjivdo - COS2213
Yes that's right. The function must return a linked list which is the sum of 2 other linked lists. You don't need the original linked lists after you calculate the sum. Also note you are not passing the 2 linked lists as ref. Sanjivby sanjivdo - COS211X
hi giggs 1. The loop will contain the logic to do the calculation. For each iteration of the loop add the 2 numbers in each list as well as the carry from the previous calculation. 2. Use a while loop and test if the lists are empty. After each iteration delete the node (you have already used it to calculate the value). Hope this helps Sanjivby sanjivdo - COS211X
I received this email: Hi the function should accept two linked lists as parameters and then the numbers within a loop that contains generic logic to add each set of digits. The first bits will have a carryin of 0. regard Lazarusby sanjivdo - COS211X
I have started assignment 2 but I am not sure how to answer question 1. "Design your solution so that the same logic adds the first numbers (units position) as well as the rest of the number. In other words, do not have special one-time logic for adding the units position." Must I design a function that will accept 2 parameters and then add these parameters, or must the functionby sanjivdo - COS211X
