Can anyone help me with these 2 concepts - i've read the chapter a few times over and still can grasp them...

How does one tell if sentences are Logically equivalent and Logical consequences of each other? My understanding is that you can only use the truth-table method to prove if they are Tautological consequence and equivalence... correct?
