Can't edit pt-return.php - 0 bytes written

Hello.

There is a problem with editing the file /var/www/osprey/mac/ecom/14/catalog/pt-return.php

By default it points to 03 :

oscom03
/ecom/03/

When I edit the file to 14 ( which is the my dir ) - the server returns :

The file "/var/www/osprey/mac/ecom/14/catalog/pt-return.php" has been saved.
(0 bytes written)

as a result the links into admin-page http://osprey.unisa.ac.za/mac/ecom/14/catalog/admin/
point to /ecom/03/ , not to my /ecom/14/

I will change permssions for you in friday morning.

May I have RW- permissions 777 for the whole dir ../14/* ?

Spooky it didn't work in the 1st place.

hmm.. I have RW-permissions for the lower-level dirs .. but not for
/14/pt-return.php and probably the other files in the top-dirs.

the root directory you're working in is catalog (pointed out in a previous post) so /14/pt-return.php and other files therein is not used.

The next problem


The server started to return the following responce for the admin page ( http://osprey.unisa.ac.za/mac/ecom/14/catalog/admin/ ) :

1146 - Table 'album.configuration' doesn't exist

select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration

My dirs are copy of ../03/ - by default all config files pointed to ../03/ and there were some pix of mr. Mark du Preez in my 14-folder. I saw in the forum that he has some problems -the topic "HELP! (My site's gone.)"
Is it possible some damaged config files to be copied? Or something with the mysql?

Your db had a problem. Fixed.
