I found this website that gives a good example of some of the things to avoid when creating webpages.

Has some good links to some sites that advise (discourages) on the use of frames. Check it out if you want tips on what to avoid on you webpages.

Something really weird happened to me with this activity - after adding the frames and reading all about users being able to change the frame sizes by dragging the borders - I wanted to see for myself what would happen if I were to add a border="0" attribute... Then, like magic (I swear it was!) my frames turned into tables... and I couldn't undo. Has this happened to anyone else??

Frames are obsolete and are not supported in HTML5 - move on.

The correct attribute is frameborder="0", not border="0".
The frameborder attribute only affects the size of the border display, it does not affect whether or not there is actually a border.

Use "noresize" to make a frame non-resizable.


You also need the correct <!Doctype> in order to use frames correctly.
