I love working with forms. I am really looking forward on learning how to collect the input from the users of the web.
All the examples I have tried, I have not found a way of successfully collecting the user input.

You need to use a scripting language such as PHP to collect the user input from a form.

HI

I have used my own email address but I'm not getting the form.
Is there something that am doing wrong?

I also noticed that. When I specify to send the data via email, when I click the link, outlook opens an email message to the specified address, but the email is empty.
Do we also need a script to parse the input and include it in the mail?

The HTML mailto() will open the e-mail client on the users computer, and should populate it.

It is not a good method of implementing e-mail.
The client computer may not have an e-mail client installed, it may be incorrectly configured, or the users browser may have popups blocked, which will prevent the e-mail client from opening.
Users may also not realize that they have to click "Send" in the e-mail client in addition to having already clicked a button on the form.

The only reliable way to send e-mails from forms is to use server-side scripting, using PHP (mail()), or another scripting language.

If you are having problems with your form, use GET instead of POST, some setups only open a blank e-mail with POST.
