Section 7 - String Manipulation

I've completed this section, no problems. So many things you can do with strings!

I see somebody else posted a thread for 'section 7 - GET & POST'... I'm working from the CD that I received from UNISA, and my section 7 is about string manipulation. Does this maybe differ from the tutorial downloaded from Home and Learn?

String are fun to work with, especially when manipulated in arrays. I enjoyed this section as well.

Yeah that was pretty interesting, I always wondered how Google did that "Did you mean ..." when you misspell a search term. Might be a similar function similar_text( ). Don't think they use PHP though...

Eventually done!
Some similar way of coding as I did with excel formulas,especially the trimming section.

Finally finished this section. I have had no problems with this section, just a lot of new information.
On to Chapter 8. spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

I have read and understood this section.

I love that there are so many ways to manipulate strings in PHP and so many predefined string functions to use.

Completed this section. I'm sure there is much more to learn about strings, but completed the tutorial and tried out the examples.

Section 7 completed!

My excel advanced skills made this section a bit easier, working with functions such as upper/lower cases and trimming. Wonder if other similar excel functions will work as well - needs some playing!
