Hi,
On the myUnisa web portal,
Their are 2 assignments listed for this PHP course(CSDW1WS-13-S2)

- August 15^th

and the other

-November 5^th

Please explain if this is correct.

Firstly, does your daily input on this forum(helping or just saying you completed a section) till the 15th of August count as your assignment 1 ?
Secondly I have only received my CD today the 16th of July so will I be penalized for not having commented before I could actually do the work?

Yes to Q1 - the depth of your participation also counting, not just the number of posts.
No toQ2

Prof Mac answred above,

Assignment 1 = Forum participation,Helping people with problems,Asking Questions,Stating your progress after each section,
Basicaly Contributing to 'PHP Sem 2' with relevance to the topics.
Assignment 2 = Portfolio Assignment, is explained in tutorial letter.

So you don't have to submit anything for 'Assignment'

wow! Thanks so much 78111986Yusuf for asking this question. I was also confused because I cannot find/see questions for assisgnmen 1. I am now on chapter 7, phew! Confusing stuff but I am sure I will be fine when I do my script execises confused smiley

I have received my book and CD's will be going through them. I see the first assignment is to participate on the forum. This is going to be very interesting as I have started practising how to write scripts and creating a dummy website.

Hi Mac

Thanks for the info on assignment one.

I have not recieved my cd or guideline book as yet but have been working through the home and learn website and I am currently moving to section 5.
My progress is relatively slow as I am working but I am making time to move as fast as I can through the sections.

What happens to your assignment one mark if you do not continually participate in this forum due to not having time to do so?

Hi all, like to get it RIGHT FIRST TIME!

The tut letter states: The exact database structure MUST be used.

The database name: registration

The three table names:

course
student
course_student

All names and table fields are case-sensitive.

That assignment1 confuse me
I read the instructions for tutorial letter (specially page 14)
they say to create index.php.
Here, I'm reading we just need to participate to the forum
