@Rush
Sublime Text looks very nice, but I saw that it needs to be licensed. Do you know what the restrictions are for the unregistered version? I can probably go read, but decided to take the easier route smile

I have completed this section one and thought it could have been a little better explained around the section of creating a Notepad file with its format and location.

Got my course work, so stoked. @Rushil-77923553 Sublime Text is awesome, really digging it. @fspringhorn_78029031 there are no restrictions with the unlicensed version. Not even a time limit. But every now and then, after a save, it will ask me if I want to purchase a license.

Ah, perhaps that is why I couldn't get it to work. Will move it now.

Thank you!

Hey,

Ok, after a rather long struggle I have completed section 1! I actually downloaded the newest version of Easyphp (v13.1).
In the new version there is no 'www' folder.

But I figured out that in this case one must use the following: "C:\EasyPHP-DevServer-13.1VC9\data\localweb\"

So far so good! (I also watched this Youtube video for some more guidance: How to install EasyPHP in your computer)

Hi there,

This is my first time on this forum and I've been reading
your posts, I'm a lil bit worried that I am too late!

I have some php basics and I am going to do as fast as possible to get to the same level as you smiling smiley

Hi there,

I've successfully completed section 1.

However, I had some trouble installing EasyPHP. I first downloaded the latest version called "EasyPHP-DevServer-13.1VC11" and got some error messages when opening the program. I then downloaded "EasyPHP-DevServer-13.1VC9" and got it up and running. And I also had to follow the program manual on the internet because the tutorial's procedure on how to operate EasyPHP was outdated.

Consider that part of the learning process smiling smiley We cannot change the tut, but generally it is a straight install. I prefer to work with an older version until the newer version is settled. But each install for its own - it all depends on the PC it is installed on.
