Paper was tricky

I passed this course very narrowly. Definitely the most difficult exam paper I ever faced.

Did you use any videos to pass this modules? Can you give me the site link??? And links for good discreet course!

Shai Simonson in Computer Science I downloaded Shai Simonson in Computer Science from youtube. Total it was 2.47 GB. Its about 17 lectures over 128 video files.

This was the toughest module I ever did at UNISA. I just registered last week for the third year module of this course. I am seriously going to need much more dummy guides and videos to show me how to do this. Goodluck, voorspoed, kyk noord en.....

Discrete Math? Search Youtube for "Arsdigita 02 (Discrete Mathematics) Lecture"

I saw some videos on Indian Institute of technology. One video is more than 100mb. What do you think about them?

I need an opinion about them before I download them, this guy is low on data. Help

Is it the infocobuild one or a different one or a different one? If its a different one can you post the download link? I only downloaded the Shai Simonson in Computer Science one. I will download this infocobuild one, thanks for the link. Please, if you or any other students have more, please post the download link. This is one subject matter I struggle with, specially when trying to do the exercises.

Is there a set of video lectures which is based on the prescribed textbook? That would be really great.

Not many universities cover theoretical computer science this days, its really an advanced topic and some only do in it the postgraduate like MIT for example. No wonder why we use a 1997 book. Perhaps studying holography would have been a better option. I think infocobuild video 1-7 can be used for second level (that's for me). And rest of the videos for 3rd level that's for you. All can be downloaded from YouTube

I am not able to download them at the moment since south African internet is super expensive (I bought 8ta 3gb for R150 last night but already left with less than 50mb)... I hope telkom is not ruled by politicians one day!!!

I just watched the first lecture now after downloading it. Its OK but I have seen better quality lectures.

Isn't there a UNISA deal for students on data? Yeah the MIT OCW is really great, specially the ones with Video Lectures. OCW has a course on Computation, Automata, Computability, and Complexity, but it doesn't have the video lectures.

Actually you will find that this course is a major pre requisite at most universities for any student that wants to major in COS.

Well, I don't know under what circumstances the lecturers work under, what challenges they face and what volume of students they have to support. In addition if they doing this lecturing work ontop of anything else that keep them busy like maybe some sort of research. But yes there is some room for improvement. If they don't have time to create their own video lectures maybe they could get in contact with other universities globally or post up some suitable video lectures or other course resources. Who knows, maybe some of the lecturers do that.

Nope, having some problems with downloading at the mo. Did you download?

@Kerneels: I watched most of the videos and think I wasted data bundles. In fact I think the book is much better than the videos negleting the usage of 1s and 0s instead of a's and b's. Maybe its your calling to make better videos on the subject, I'll pray for you good luck!!!!
