2 <blink> and <marquee> tags and colour.
3 it's actually a good table joke
4 if you wanted to do anything you could rewrite the entire page. I wouldn't be able to bring myself to do it though, it deserves a spot in everyones bookmark bar.

Check out http://www.angelfire.com/super/badwebs/ . It demonstrates common mistakes made by new web designers.

See http://www.theworldsworstwebsiteever.com/

This website is both good co-ordinated, but also very badly designed. I think the intend of this website
is to show us just how bad designing can get.

I found this section very interesting, and surely hope my work never end up on one of these sites.
Google gave a few GOOD, examples of why certain websites are very BAD.

I think the usefulness of a website depends on the user's expectations. Generally as a user I expect the website to give me an answer to my query quickly, easily and without having to do multiple navigations to get there. I also think that different kinds of websites serve different purposes e.g. university websites are often really complex adn can be really irritating but then each website has a captive audience in that to find out info about UCT e.g. I would have to go to that website - there's no choice involved. However for me simplicity in a site and ease of navigation are my two main requirements. E.G. in looking into this question I googled 10 top worst websites. When I visited http://www.webpagesthatsuck.com/worst-websites-of-2011-Q1.html I had to keep following links and in the end gave up before I found the list. That is compared to http://www.manolith.com/2009/08/25/worst-website-designs/ which also gave reasons of not liking the sites and http://www.pcworld.com/article/127116/the_25_worst_web_sites.html which also provided lots of computer related information including web hosting.

There are some real beauties above, but I have to agree with RMcC, that "the usefulness of a website depends on the user's expectations."
The site I picked up for being totally over the top is [constellation7], but it must have a following, as it's at # 4million-odd on the [Alexa rankings]
There are a whole lot more websites in this series that all look very similar.

Where do I start about what problems are evident?
I guess it speaks for itself. Just awful!

The negative impact is that is just so busy, difficult to follow and doesn't encourage one to stay and read.

To improve the site, I'd scrap it and start again!

I found that Radio Tuks website took a long time to download the opening page, it is not a simple website to navigate just to find out what to click can take a while.
If you put the courser over a building it pops-up ,for example Library it would be helpful if they expanded on what you would find in the Library section just to make it easier to navigate in there website.
The website is graphically impressive.

I think I have found the worst yet - www.serene-naturist.com

Ai nee man, sies!

1. Whats wrong?
- Takes forever to load
- Animated graphics are low quality
- Unattractive navigation
- Far too much movement and sparkles
- First link doesn't work at all - error
- A lot of nude content (boys, don't all rush off to check it out now)
- It's too busy to actually follow.

2. What will customers think?
- Could be mistaken for an escort agency - it's supposed to be a health spa
- Customers expecting info on facials and waxing could quite possibly be offended by all the nudity
- Because it's so busy it's actually uncomfortable to read and quite confusing.
- A customer would probably not even bother to read it, click back and click on the next link.

3. How to fix it?
- Remove everything thing that moves
- Remove all nude pictures
- add content more applicable to their product/service
- Simple it up.... a lot!
- Delete it and start over?

http://www.datadial.net/blog/index.php/2009/06/09/website-fail-30-web-designs-that-will-hurt-your-eyes/

Problems on these websites ranged from being too busy, the display didn't fit on the page, links that don't work and the worst one was the page moved too much it made you nauseous to look at it.

If I was a customer going to any of these websites I would leave without even looking at what product they have to offer.

Most of the websites could have been improved by being simpler. Don't overdo graphics, number of frames and columns and the music.
