Mouse stops working in Outlook/Word etc

The mouse seems to freeze i.e. you click but the cursor does not relocate

1) Open Regedit

2) HKEY_CURRENT_USER >> SOFTWARE >> MICROSOFT

3) Inside the MICROSOFT hive right-click the Office hive and rename it to Office.old (hive is like directory/subdirectory)

4) Exit Regedit

5) Restart the app

Your Office settings is reset at the user level, so you may have to redo one or two settings as asked by the app.
