Theory Exam Questions
May 19, 2011 07:16AM
Here is a link to the 2007 forum (Computer Graphics) with a list that Reanie made for the theory that she saw in the previous exams (pre2007).

Hope some of you will have time to go through this as well.

Hi

Thanks for that. I was hoping if I know all the theory of the previous exams I should be ok. I used the Subject Index of my 2006 books and the link you provided to create the following(incomplete) table:

You can leave out: "Input modes for pointing device"
Its part of Chapter 3 and according to TL103 we won't get any theory Q's from this chapter.

Yip,

But at least have a look at how the glut callback function looks.

Because I do believe we might get a practical questions as in previous exams.

Just also make sure you know the coordinates of the RGB color cube. Check page 61 (2009) of Angel.

Checked Color Solid page 61 (2006).

Any reason you believe we need to know this?

Its listed on your table above.

*grin*

Can you believe it there it is! Its not my Table I just tabulated the data with some reference I could quickly find.

But it brings up a interesting topic(again) for this module: The workload!

There is so much they can ask we are really at the mercy of the Lecturer.

I even now started to recite the OpenGL Pipeline in my sleep and what each "blackbox" do!

LOL been doing that for a couple of nights now.
It really helps! Woke up this morning with pipeline on the brain.

You guys ready for tomorrow? I don't know what to expect, but I'm sure we are well prepared. By just seeing the input that we gave to this course, I'm sure we will win this one.

BlaXpydo

I'm never ready, but I will burn a bit of oil tonight as well and then pitch up at the Tshwane Event Centre tomorrow.

At least I'm not wondering anymore how I will get through all this work... Now I'm wondering how I will recall the correct info tomorrow during the test!

I honestly just need a pass to get my 60% I want for the module, even if I just get 41% will I still pass but I want to keep my options open for honors.

Btw how long does it normally take for us to get our marks back, 1 month etc?

Goodluck,
Re: Theory Exam Questions

Well, just relax when reading the questions....Your mind will automaticaly recall the correct info, especially if you went through the work repeatedly.

As for the marks, it depends from lecturer to lecturer. If i remember correctly, COS modules take about a month. Not sure abotu 3rd year subjects.

Is there any place I can check the statistics of the COS modules (like how many students enrolled, etc)?

Ready as I'll ever be...
But you never know with Unisa exams.
I'm sure we will be able to face whatever's coming our way.

Anyway thanks for all the input you 2 gave, you have really made the learning process more interactive and fun.
I going to get a good night's rest, get up early and just glance through my notes before the 14:30 exam.

Good Luck you guys!

Will see you all in the Post-Mortem topic.

Not really sure, I know the bottom of the WIKI page contains a poll, not sure if people use it though.
Re: Theory Exam Questions
May 22, 2011 09:02PM
The wiki poll is not very accurate.

Email the lecture and ask him, I'm sure he will not mind to disclose some numbers. But otherwise I don't think you will get anything else.

Why do you want to know?

I will give feedback on how many students there was in Pretoria.

Hopefully the post-mortem will be my last post on this modules forum, otherwise it means I had to rewrite or retake the module tongue sticking out smiley

Kind Regards,
Re: Theory Exam Questions
May 23, 2011 09:15AM
Its always nice to know how many students are actually doing these modules.

I have one last question, How are the RGB and CMY color models related? I don't really see any reference that the book makes to that.

Re: Theory Exam Questions

I can help on that one.

Both models use three primary colours to produce the colour spectrum. The intensity of each primary colour is varied to produce a certain colour.
Re: Theory Exam Questions

Why thank you. Your input is much appreciated.

Good luck with the exam!
