Display an error message if there is an overflow in the number of digits displayed for the result. What does this mean?

Let's say you're using int. That has a fixed maximum size, right? You get 2 bytes or something like that, and if you try to produce a number larger than that, it overflows. Your computer would detect this, and when it does you're meant to catch it and report to user what's happened.
