I'm still waiting for registration. Downloaded the ebook last week and going to start this week. The book was released under OPL but its rather hard to find a copy for some reason.

I see the online version is more recent than the pdf. The printed version is way behind the pdf.

I found that in terms of actually trying to understand QT, its best to view the training videos on http://qt.nokia.com/developer/learning/online/training/specialized-elearning/fundamentals-of-qt

There are many videos. I managed to get a much better understanding of what QT is about and how it is meant to work with object orientation, although it hasn't helped directly with either the course or the assignments so far. From what I can work out, the Unisa course is not "good practice" in terms of objects - it's a mish-mash of older C++ methods and outdated practices with a cooler interface.

I also found the PDF of the Ezust book a lot easier to read than the HTML files. Just do a google search on it. So far I'm not seeing how the book links to the course or the programming, and most of the examples he gives won't compile. They don't include the basics for beginners like "what kind of new project is this". And he assumes a Unix environment a lot of the time. I can't get many of the "demos" to run out of QT Creator, but they do run in the compiled demo application.
