1. Write a program that prints the following pattern:

2. Write a program that reads a line of text from the keyboard, and prints an acronym formed from the 1st letter of each word.

Example:

Enter a line of text: Just another valuable artifact
JAVA

Language: HTMLDr. vd Merwe, on the forum you have written the first question as asking one to write a program that displays 
four quotes (" " " ") in one line, then a quote(") in each of the following three lines, and lastly, two quotes in the last 
line. Are you certain this is correct? That is, is it not a single quote on the 1st line, then 2 quotes on the second, three 
on the 3rd and so on, something that could be done with a "for loop"? I was kind of anticipating a figure akin to say,
a pyramid of quotes or something. Please verify and lastly should there be spaces between the quotes.
Please confirm.

Language: HTMLOk, thanks for clarifying question 1. Now as far as testing the classes goes, are you looking
for a basic test with instantiation and results or the JUnit type of test with "assertTrue()" and all that?

i do the pseodocode and jot the program by hand but i get it dificult to run.can any1 clarify how to run the problem cos the clue in the text book is not working for me plz help?

Mac, I am confused now. On Tut101 Ass 2 Question 1 is exercise 3 on pg 97 not exercise 1 as you mentioned. And Q2 is on exercise 2 on page 204 which is for the class Forex converting currencies. Please clarify even though it may be after the closing date...

Now you have me confused as well - don't have the text book with me on this public holiday - I may just have named it 1 and 2 here, not as per the book... will have to look tomorrow
