volunteer schemes in Madagascar
September 03, 2013 06:11AM
We would like to offer your students at University of South Africa studying Science, Engineering and Technology the opportunity to take part in Azafady’s unique volunteer schemes in Madagascar. With over a decade of experience, our award-winning projects attract participants from around the globe, providing the opportunity to work in partnership with local Malagasy NGO staff, supporting marginalised communities and assisting with the conservation and development of the region.

By developing vocational skills from conservation and teaching English to construction, our programmes welcome students into the challenging and rewarding field of grassroots development NGOs, ensuring they are involved in every aspect of the project they’re working on. The structure of our programmes makes them ideal for any students looking to pursue a career in conservation, sustainable development or humanitarian work in the future. Whatever your students’ career aspirations, our volunteer programmes provide experience and help develop essential skills that can be transferred to any profession while making a measurable and often profound difference in Madagascar. Unlike many other organisations, Azafady’s projects have all been requested by local communities and respond to their directly expressed needs.

Feedback from our past volunteers has been incredibly positive, with many people telling us that their placement enabled them to gain course credits at their university. Please see below for further information about Azafady and our volunteer programmes. We would greatly appreciate you forwarding this on to any students at your university who may be interested in such an opportunity.

If you or your students require more details regarding Azafady’s volunteer programmes, do visit our website www.madagascar.co.uk or contact us directly on +44 (0) 208 960 6629 – we would be more than happy to help with any enquiries.

Many thanks for your help in supporting Madagascar!
Joe Jenkinson
International Volunteer Coordinator, Azafady
