Error When uploading pictures

Hi Mac

When I try to upload pictures for the product category I receive these messages.
"Error: Destination not writeable."
"Error: Catalog images directory is not writeable:

Please help

I have created a new language and when i try to upload a icon for the language it gives the same error as my previous picture upload query.

Yes, it will since those images are in catalog/includes/languages/english/images/icon.gif which does not have writing rights (security risk). One would typically ftp it there, which we do not allow anymore. So keep it as is - I have taken note of what you tried to do.
