Just finished tasks 1A and 1B. they were not to difficult as they are very similar in code and information to my programming language C#.

A really fantastic online resource for php is http://www.w3schools.com/php/default.asp I find that I don`t always have my books at hand - this is most certainly a wonderful place to find what i am looking for.
If you still waiting for your text book why not look here in the meantime.

These exercises are very straight forward. But, as with most things, you have to start with the basics.

Just completed task 1a and 1b and it's interesting to note that the symbols for writing comments which extend over several lines is similar to that of commenting in CSS.

Just went trough Task 1A and 1B as well, was a breeze, just struggled viewing my page but then got it right with wampserver. Works beautifully...

Hey guys

Just received my study material today, but managed to complete tasks 1A and 1B. I found it quite easy but im sure it wont stay that way.

I had to install Wamp server as im running a 64bit version of Windows 7, which doesnt seem to be compatible with XAMPP. If any of you guys have the same problem, you should try it out.
