Assignment3 - Browser detection
May 19, 2010 11:09AM
Hi there

I am using CSS positioning for layout. I have a small browser version issue affecting my front page layout.

I decided to use browser detection javascript to select the .css file. This has solved my layout problem but what if the user does not have javascript enabled? he gets an unstyled page? And IE applies this content blocker which initially presents the first page unstyled until the user accepts the blocked content.

I have tried one or two other methods for browser consideration but the result is inconsistent. So how does one evaluate the tradeoff in the options?. Is there a foolproof method to resolve this that I haven't yet found.

Regards
Michele

I depends much on what you tried to achieve, so there can be no standard tradeoff. Keep it simple, or make it simpler, is all I can suggest.
