INF320 Oct Exam

Tutorial 101 says nothing about the exam and Tutorial 102 refers us back to 101. And the book 4 inf320 is just too big for two hours and 70 questions. I wish the college would actual selected topics for the exam rather than just give the whole book. Does anyone have an idea of the topics that will be covered in the exam?

I'm also using 2009's post exam forum posts as a lesson learnt to prepare for this module. I doubt that we will receive a good guide (i.e. TUT xyz) as to what the exam will consist of and how to structure our preperation

I wrote the exam last year and it was a nightmare!

They asked very specific questions, and only covered a small amount of the work.

Hi,

I see that Chapter 8 isnt mentioned in the assignments as a chapter to cover.

Does this mean that it won't be in the exam? any ideas?

According to Tut101 Chapters 3 and 8 are "Not Prescribed for 2010".

you should check myUnisa. There's an exam paper for last year and a TUT with some indication of how the exam will be structured. but yes I agree, its kinda bad them telling us to just 'study the whole book' (except for two chapters). BUt hey, what can you do., I just try and summarize what I think will be important - and study that.

I focussed on what Tut101 said should be the unit outcomes for each chapter. It narrows it down a bit, not sure how accurate this spotting will be come exam time.
