CASE STUDY?
September 20, 2006 03:44PM
Hi,

In the exam tut, it is said that the second part of the exams on 45 marks will be on a case study...

Just would like to know ... Are we suppose to know how to draw DFD's, ERD's etc ?

Thanks for the reply,

Jean

I get that we need to dfd but not erd ?

Are you saying we have to use alternative text to learn the Chen and crow foot stuff for this exam ?

I cannot keep narrowing down what you have to study - you are a final year SE student and must know how to apply all your basic 2nd year material

I don't think that the ERD is applicable to this subject, more so to INF303D so I would say focus on use case diagrams as well as context/data flow diagrams and other diagrams in the analysis model chapters.

Agreed

The exam letter only states "you will be asked to develop and compare diagrams such as context/data flow/use-case diagrams - see the chapter on analysis models."

Please tell me where it says draw ERD's???

I'm sure that the examiners will not be that unkind as to examine us directly on 2nd year stuff grinning smiley

Have fun studying.....

It is said we will have to do a webE process in the exam tut.Does anyone know what exactly did the lecturers mean?

I think that we may have to use the Web Framework (Comm, Planning, modeling, Construction and deployment) and describe how we would apply it to a WebApp. Don't come looking for me if I'm wrong!!!!
I am really starting to stress about this exam now.
