Drawing software?

What software do you use to draw your flowcharts / PDA / FA / etc. ?
I've used dia in the past and even tried "drawing" in kcolourpaint for assignment 1 but none of these are satisfactory.

I used MS Visio (we got a version with one of the INF subjects) and also MS Publisher.
You can also go the long route and use MS Paint.

Thanks Reanie, but I didn't do those INF courses so I don't have that software and in any case I'm using Linux.

I tried that recently with kcolourpaint (the linux version/clone of ms paint) and it's doable but painful smiling smiley

I just installed dia. It works well enough, it was just very buggy and crashed a lot the last time I used it (about 2 years ago). Hopefully it's more stable now.

Update:
Dia is definitely more stable and much nicer to use. I had no problems this time and it works quite well for drawing PDAs.

Thanks Rick. I just played around with OO.o Draw now and it also works very nicely for doing flowcharts / PDAs.

Word 2007 works nicely for me, but if you want an alternative, use DIA (dia is ok once you have made friends with the Undo button...)

Thanks for this, it's exactly what I was looking for. I tried it out today and it rocks.

Yeah, it's pretty awesome. There are some things I still struggle with but on the whole it produces nice graphs smiling smiley
