Hi

I'm using Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition to compile the C++ code. Works like a bomb. The IDE is free and registration is free. As far as I know UNISA do not restrict you to the Dev C++ compiler but you have to indicate which compiler you are using when submitting exercises. The IDE can be downloaded from the following site: http://www.microsoft.com/express/Downloads/#2008-Visual-CPP and a free video explaining how to get started with the IDE can be found at http://download.microsoft.com/download/5/9/d/59d815b3-e934-4b1d-a444-7206d6337be2/WinVideo-NativeCoding-BuildaConsoleApplication.wmv.

Good luck!

I also had problems with the Dev C++ version from the UNISA disk on Windows 7. I then downloaded Dev C++ V4.9.9.2 from CNET and it works fine. Make sure to uninstall any other versions before you install V4.9.9.2. You can download it from http://download.cnet.com/Dev-C/3000-2069_4-12686.html
