Back propagation & calculators in the exam...

Any thoughts on if we are going to be asked to train a net work via back propagation? We haven't been asked to in any of the assignments or the mock exam. I haven't spent much time on it and I don't want to if its not going to be asked!! How many of you are planning on studying this section?

If we are going to have to, are we allowed to take caculators into the exam? It will be tricky if we are not allowed to take them and we have to do back propagation!!!

Don't think that we should worry about it too much. As far as I know we are not allowed to use calculators and like you said it will be tricky without one. The questions in the mock exam and the assignments should be a good indication of what to expect.

Im going to ask the lecturer. Will let you guys know if i get an answer.
