Found this on example 2.4 and I'm not sure if it's an error or not.

The following shows that the number (11001)2 in binary is the same as 24 in decimal. The subscript 2 shows that the base is 2.

Note that the equivalent decimal number is N = 16 + 8 + 0 + 0 + 1 = 25.


My understanding is that 24 < 25 so the above statement can't be true.

The errata list for F&M is in tut 103.
