Distinguished Analyst Nomination

I was very surprised to receive the following email yesterday, from very senior management, CC'ing lots on decision makers in the bank (Whom I have obviously never met). I didnt even know I was in the draw, and I dont know how it all works. Anyone knows any standardbank ex-employees that would know? The email:

You have been nominated by the ITM as a possible Distinguished Analyst. The next step is to complete the attached resume and mail it back to me before Friday 5 December. The information in the resume is just an example.

A review panel set up by <Edit> will review all the nominations and make the final appointment.

To have made it to this stage is an honour and achievement. It also serves as recognition for you skill and hard work. Congratulations on making it this far and good luck with the final round.

Its a very good thing yes, I am just surprised, as I am still so new. The template I filled in had a part where it asked for what achievements I had at Standard BAnk. All my projects are still in progress, so nothing yet

But I'm sure that they saw something in you that impressed them! You will be fine and all of us will hold thumbs for you!

Take some motivations from your performance review - I remember you did quite well?
