I made a thumbnail from a high resolution photo. It does not look good. What must i do, decrease the size with Photoshop maybe? Have two similar images, one for the thumbnail and one for the actual image when the thumbnail is clicked? I don't know. Please help

The usual way to do it is to make a small image about 200x150 pixels from your large image and include a link on it that when clicked will open the larger image
