Good evening,

I uploaded my Assignment 1 and my picture (photo) is also not showing, as per TKalebka's mail. My picture has a simple name, 5 letters.jpg all lower case, so it can't be the complexity of the name that prevents it being seen.
It works perfectly both at home and at work so I am rather puzzled.

Please advise, thanks.

ok I used:
osprey.unisa.ac.za/toby/venturi/Lucia%20website/lucia.html

There are two picture files lucia.jpg and Cowpaper.gif

In your lucia.html file you use:

<body background="COWPAPER.GIF">

which is why it is not working - it must have the same upper and lowercase letters as the filename in your folder on the server

With regards to pictures not showing...

I think I figured it out...

Once uploaded your files to Opsrey Server...double click on all you files including image files (as if to view them individually from the osprey server).

Then view your webpage...All images will show.

Thank you both for your advice, which I have followed:
I have modified the html for the gif file (used the same case), and I have opened all the files before executing, but neither the background nor the photo work.

At home both work.
At work both work.

Where to from here?

When I use:
osprey.unisa.ac.za/toby/venturi/Assignment1/lucia.html
I can see your picture and the background - so everything works.

I have managed to upload to the Unisa server after weeks of struggling,but now picture does not show.What did I do wrong.I have checked all the threads but can't seem to see anything wrong.
