Filters, firewalls, checking for open ports, regular back ups, keeping anti-virus and OS up to date, keeping network security up to date.
Is it a good thing that such details are freely available:
YES!!! - so that we can be aware and study these techniques to prevent them of happening. It can help you to find the week spots on sites
NO!!! – some people access the sites for the wrong reasons, and if there is a loop in the site, they can remove it and destroy the site and submit viruses on the site.
Should network administrators monitor hacking sites:
YES!!! As much as this information can be bad, administrators need to learn these techniques to avoid or be aware of these threats. If this is not monitored, the administrator must be responsible for any loses.
