From a commercial viewpoint, "newsgroups" can give company employees the flexibility of working from home or in a virtual office. This has all sorts of benefits including cost benefits. The traditional 8 to 5 day at the office may be on its way out !!

The domain names I find are:
Register.com
Network Solutions
domain.com

The cost for Register.com:
.come $35 for 1 year
.net $70 for 2 years
.org $249 for 10 years
.biz $35 for 1 year
.info $35 for 1 year

Network Solutions provide free domain name registration services and domain.com Provides free domain name for a year

The registration fee goes to CANN
ICANN in an International organization that is responsible for assigning and managing domain names....etc...
(only the registration FEE is what goes to ICANN. The money that customer pays goes to both ICANN and the domain name registration service that we use
