What software do we need?

It is FOL software that comes with the book. It includes Tsarski's World, Truth Tables (Boole) and an application for creating formal proofs (Fitch).

Anyway, that's how I remember it. Have fun, it is a great course - however do not underestimate the amount of work required for the latter chapters.

You only need to register the software if you want to send in the assignments that they given in the book. This is not a requirement for the Unisa course.
The problem is, only one person per CD can register. So, if you sell your book, the next person can't register on the CD's code as well.
So, you can happily buy a 2nd hand book with the CD.
PS: Mine's available - in CT. Haven't thought of a price yet. Contact me if anyone is interested.

Tarski's world is available as a Java Applet from various web locations. U don't need the other software.. I could never use it properly and I still passed this course. You do need Tarski's world to pass though..
