Hi All (Mac)

Im so swamped at work, and moving along at a slow pace thru the exercises..
at this point in time i don't think i'm gona make the duedate for the prac project...
I just want to confirm something i think i saw in some of the documentation or last semester's forum:
if you can't submit the prac in Nov2007, can you pay an exam fee to do the prac in the next semester?

I just spoke to Mrs Havene today (10-10-2007 after 11am) and she confirmed that if you want to do the practical project next year you need to contact the lecturers for the course so that they can arrange it for you. you only pay R150 to register for the "exam" again.

I've been considering it as well ... especially as I seem to be a bit "dof" for this PHP stuff - battling quite a bit. eye popping smiley

HOWEVER, going to try to finish this year.

Ernistus, do you know when the latest is that we can postpone if we really wanted to? confused smiley

We don't really "arrange" it, we just say "yes, that's ok". So you can just mail a request (add student number please) and we'll forward it to Ms Havenga with the Yes approval.

hey guys,

why dont you try see how far you can get now...

then when it comes to doing it again, you will be that much better at it or you will be that much further to being complete.

just a thought. personally i love working under pressure. i perform so much better.

anyway, what ever your decision, we are here...

Gilham, thanx for de support..
But i know I'm not gona make it coz we're having
a software release at work on the weekend of the 9th
and things are hectic as it is already with unhappy users,
profit driven bosses and the whole package from scope creep
to sudden change in requirements... to make things WORSE we're
supposed to be in UAT already and for that reason and other study
obligations I'm going to put the project on the backburner for now.
I am however going thru the exercises from Masterskills and trying to
finish that

Yes, am trying very very hard to get it done by the 9th. Nice to know that there is an escape clause if absolutely necessary. Life happens, sometimes! tongue sticking out smiley

I've sent and Alta the email abt postponing the prac till next year.
I contacted mis Havenga to enquiry if you gave her the ok and she said she's got nothing to do with it, i should contact you or Alta...

what to do now??

i resent the email this afternoon (31 Oct 2007 12:18pm) to you and alta's email addresses as per tutorial letter (mac!!(AT)icon.co.za ; alta!!(A)unisa.ac.za)
i received a reply that the email (icon.co.za) doesn't exist at the organisation and no reply from alta.

I must apologise. It is v d m er t m @unisa.ac.za (without the spaces). I have no clue where the icon.co.za slipped in....! I missed that.
