TASK 5B Done.

I use IExplorer and my cookies was found sitting on

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

I used the following method to view it.

open internet explorer---> tools----> Internet Options then in the general tab, temporary files section click 'Settings' then 'view files'

5B Completed.

On Netscape Navigater, the cookies are located at Tools - Cookie Manager - Manage Stored Cookies

why didnt i read this 2 weeks ago!!! it would have helped me sooo much! this is an awesome starting point for cookies!

i wrote a little app to check the number of hours logged per task on dotProject. this was quite a fun task. what was also required from me, was if someone came back a second time to view their hours, i needed to set the names drop down box to the users name.

i could not use a session variable because as soon as the session died (browser was closed etc) the variable would be wiped clear. so i cookied the user. it was a very light form of cookie-ing but interesting.

what i struggles with then was creating the cookie. in the book, it gives you an awesome break down of what you need to get started.
