The thing is, I have no problem with disagreements or differences of opinion. They make life interesting (and threads active). I have a lot of unconventional ideas on various things and enjoy exploring people's perspectives.

But when forums effectively degenerate into name-calling and being more concerned with comebacks and putting people down - rather than the exchange of ideas, fun chats, exploring concepts, etc, I quickly lose interest. Then I just read what looks interesting, skip the rest, and don't bother going to the effort of posting just so someone can have some target practice.

Agree with you both. Let's hope the "flames" have been burnt out a bit for this year. Still a mystery how some "strategic" threads just seemed to disappear in the middle of everything? But it might have been for the better. eye rolling smiley
