The practical part isn't that bad, I just don't get the theory questions. Some MAT modules would have helped, but matric maths from 15 years ago doesn't.

honestly, varsity subjects do not fall in the useful category - generally. they just show us what is out there - nd then also in a very limited way.

the databases courses - also very theoretical and the one where you do sql - its soooo easy

and I am allergic to project management, so I would vomit and die if I took that module winking smiley

The project manangement module is also very easy. You could probably walk into the exam without even reading the book and pass.

Me too. I find a subject that's interesting is easier to pass anyway. IMO.

I also find that. I think its because if something is interesting you're more keen to learn it then something you don't like and therefore you'll remember it better.

The project management and sql courses are the biggest joke ever. Especially project management what a mickey mouse course...
Although most of INF is a joke actually ;/

This has to be the worst module I've taken so far, I tried to read the textbook earlier this year, didnt know what the guy is trying to say, that whole textbook is one giant glossary of terms. How it was ever selected as a textbook is a mystery to me.

As for passing

I'll definitely pass MAT110
I'll definitely pass COS201
I'll definitely pass COS261
I forgot I was doing INF303,305 and 307

The exam last year was a complete stuff up, I actually walked out. They expected us to know all those lists which is impossible unless you have a photographic memory. In the end they let our assignments count towards our final marks. I got exactly 50% grinning smiley, how I don't know.

I did like the idea of using code to draw all those images - an earth that rotates with shadow and stuff. But, it's definately the maths part that this 20+ years last exposure brain are struggling to understand... Sometimes age isn't that much of an advantage!!

Yip, Last years INF305 was a joke. They misled us with the exam tut letter.
The Textbook is a TOTAL waste of time!
I also manage to scrape a pass. (Thanks to Assignments)
