Task 1C-1 Question 1

The Internet will become a utility like electricity. Wireless connections like WiMAX will become increasingly popular due to easy access, low cost of Internet connectivity and low cost of infrastructure e.g especially useful in rural areas. Peer-to-peer networking will advance giving us more freedom and the opportunity for people to connect personally.

The fee will go to your Registrar and to ICANN. If your domain name registration is included in your ISP package then your ISP will also be your registrar so the fee will go to them and ICANN.

Some ISPs offer free domain name registration as part of the package they sell to you. Ultimately the registrars and ICANN needs to be paid though, so in my opinion it’s just a “catch phrase� to draw more clientele
