In Delphi2006, the way to create a Data Module is a bit different from the prescribed book.

On page 421 EX 16.1 STEP 7, change the first bullet to the following:
Select File|New|Other, and then select DelphiFiles under Item Categories. Double-click on the Data Module icon. Delphi then opens an empty data module.

Hi,
can anyone help? I am trying to create a new data module with Delphi 2005. Nothing seems to work!

I cannot find the Data module icon anywhere!!

Bit late now but if you read the first thread...

Select File|New|Other then go Delphi Files|Data Modules

thanks, it wasnt there. Turned out there was an installation problem. smiling smiley
