assignment 3 : mode? embedded mode?

Hi

I can not for the life of me find out the difference between:
embedded & embedded mode
organic & organic mode
semi-detached & semi-detached mode

Please if anyone can direct me to the right chapter / page PLEASE do so, i have even searched the internet but came up with nothing. What does the 'mode' mean? thanks, i'm trying to do the COCOMO question but don't know what to do differently with these 'special' modes.

There is no difference between 'organic' and 'organic mode', etc.

Are you sure? why would they then use those words in the question?
There must be a difference logically?

I went through page 109 and still cannot be 100% certain in my mind about the use of that word.

I think it is just a typo. The question states : "Identify which can be completed in 3 years" Are those Person months / years or must we convert it from Person Months to Normal months?

I stopped at person months, since the book does not show how to calculate normal months (unless i did not see it!)

I found the formula's and constants for that after doing some googling.

I therefore decided to stick with Person Months since the lecturers would have used the prescribed material to set up the assignment.
