COS 492 Assignment 1 question.
April 21, 2007 07:57PM
Hi,

Has anyone managed to complete assignment 1?

I've read the chapters in the book and cant complete questions 2 and 2 because I'm not sure about the symbols in question 2 and the formula in question 3.

With question 2 do the 'Y', 'v' and 'w' characters represent another symbol, namely the equivalence symbol ?

With question 3 do the # symbols represent the ceiling symbols? And does the 'x' represent multiplication or a element in the term 'jxk'? Does the formula make sense to anyone?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Will have a look tonight if I can... I'm still going though the first 8 chapters of the book!

i think we would really have to check with the prof on this....

i'm guessing that the hash should be the <- symbol based on this in the tut letter "<= instead of #."

i think the font at the printer didn't match the one on the desktop!

check tut 101 on osprey! http://osprey.unisa.ac.za/download/COS492-R/C492e101-2006.pdf

it definitely looks like a font issue!
