Assignment 03 question 5 asks to convert the Moore machine in problem 6(i) on page 166 in the textbook to a Mealy machine. Problem 6(i) in my textbook is already a Mealy machine. Any comments?

Hi Ferdie

For that question I wrote on the yellow exam folder exactly what you described. Then for the question I converted the Mealy machine in the textbook to be a Moore machine and asked the lecturer to mark it anyway. At least then I still get some practice at something and hopefully they will mark it.

Problem 6(i) on page 166 of the prescribed book is indeed a Mealy machine. Thus, the question should read as follow:
"Convert the Mealy machine in problem 6(i) on page 166 of the 1997 edition to a Moore machine."

You will not be penalised in terms of credits if a Moore machine is not provided in the assignment.
