AS PART OF ITS EMPLOYMENT AND EQUITY SKILLS DEVELOPMENT DRIVE, UNISA IS EMBARKING
ON A TRAIN TO EMPLOY SKILLS PROGRAMME. THE PURPOSE OF THESE POSITIONS IS
TO ASSIST BLACK STUDENTS (AFRICAN, COLOURED, ASIAN) TO ACQUIRE BASIC SKILLS,
EXPOSURE, AND SOME EXPERIENCE IN THEIR FIELD OF STUDY.
IT IS IN THIS REGARD THAT THE FOLLOWING TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES HAVE BEEN CREATED:
1. BUREAU FOR LEARNING DEVELOPMENT (2 POSTS) (In your application please quote Ref no BLD/Train1/08-06).
The posts will be located at the Cluster for Online Learning Environments:
Minimum requirements:
• B Ed degree or BA with Education as a major subject and willingness to
be trained in online learning technologies.
• Proficiency in English.
2. BUREAU FOR MANAGEMENT INFORMATION (5 POSTS) (In your application please quote Ref no BMI/Train2/08-06).
Minimum requirements:
• A degree or national diploma in a quantitative discipline (e.g. statistics,
mathematics).
• Proficiency in English.
3. DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SERVICES (9 POSTS) (In your application please quote Ref no COMSERV/Train3/08-06).
Minimum requirements:
• A degree or national diploma in Computer Science/Network Technologies
(8 posts).
• A partially completed degree or diploma in computer science (second or
third year studies) plus knowledge of graphical design packages (1 post).
• Proficiency in English.
4. DEPARTMENT OF INTERNAL AUDIT (2 POSTS) (In your application please quote Ref no INTAUD/Train4/08-06).
Minimum requirements:
• A degree or national diploma in Audit/Internal Audit and/or Accountancy
or a partially completed degree (3rd year level with internal audit as major).
• Proficiency in English.
5. DEPARTMENT OF PRODUCTION (5 POSTS) (In your application please quote Ref no PROD/Train5/08-06).
Minimum requirements:
•
A Printer’s diploma with TT3 in any of the following trades: Electronic
Origination, Electronic Composition, Litho Printing, Bookbinding.
• Proficiency in English.
6. DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE (8 POSTS) (In your application please quote Ref no FIN/ Train6/08-06).
Minimum requirements:
• A degree or national diploma in commerce, accounting or financial management.
• Proficiency in English.
7. DEPARTMENT OF CORPORATE COMMUNICATION AND MARKETING (2 POSTS) (In your application please quote Ref no CCM/ Train7/08-06).
Minimum requirements:
• A degree or national diploma in web technologies (office automation)
• Proficiency in English
Recommendation for all positions: Basic knowledge of any computer programme.
Commencement of training programme: As soon as possible.
Conditions:
• The successful incumbents will enter into a one (1) year contract.
• No fringe benefits will apply.
• A training allowance of R75 312 per annum will be paid.
