SACLA is a relatively informal association of people involved in the teaching of Computer Science and Information Systems at universities throughout Southern Africa.

This year the annual conference, SACLA 2008, is being hosted by the School of Computing at the University of South Africa.

The venue is the Berg en Dal rest camp situated in the Southern Kruger Park. The conference itself will be held from Sunday 13 July to Wednesday 16 July 2008.

The theme of the conference is "Teaching Computing in Southern Africa: Riding the Technology Buffalo!"
