Hi Mac,
I found an online copy of the book for the new syllabus and I have to say that I wish I was only starting your PHP course in the next semester I am not saying our current book is bad, but looking at the content of the new book is rather expansive just at a glance.
I am rather jealous of the book you picked out for the next round of students. I am actually going to buy the handbook

Just saw my marks, quite happy with the 90%. More than I thought I would get considering the fact that i was rather sure I had misinterpreted some of the instructions. Thanks Mac! Still hoping to give a better effort for the portfolio

This is definitely the direction I am heading - development. I also know exactly what you mean in regards to starting to think differently. I am definitely always looking at how to make use of better algorithms to simplify and lessen the code whilst writing complete and concise code. This module has really helped me for the better. Based on the tutorial and all that has been said about it I have been paranoid about all this submission stuff as this is my first module where I don't submit it online on myunisa.
As for the assignment itself... I am hoping I did what was required, not entirely sure how they wanted everything to be.... but alas, my portfolio will kick @$$ and make up for any stupid mistakes I made in the

From the login page you would utilize an "include" statement to keep your connection up for the queries (remember to close it though) that way you don't need to keep adding the whole code for it. After connecting to the database for authentication you would need to use a session variable to keep track that your user is logged in hope this helps
