Hi Jazzy, The server is case sensitive for everything, including filenames and extensions. Try changing all the links to lowercase, that's if the filename is also lower case. Regards, Jaredby 45352380 - ICT3612 Sem 1
@ 43102441 1) What seems to be the problem with uploading the database to WebHosting? The procedure is that same a last semester. 2) You can either create your tables manually and manually input the data OR... 3) MySQL has a feature to export the database from your local computer database and import into the database on WebHosting. 4) What have you tried? Hi Coder. Just display the output somewhere on the same page. I.E. (4+4 = 8)by 45352380 - ICT3612 Sem 1
@ 40541797 What is the problem you are experiencing? I just tried the submission URL and it's online. Try using a different browser. Firefox worked well for me, because with Chrome and IE I could not click the "world" icon. Let us know what you see. Jaredby 45352380 - ICT3612 Sem 1
@ Matsoso. Some of the hyperlinks on your website are not working. Test each hyperlink from each page. The default page opens your "CALC" page, but on your calc page click the "CALC" hyperlink and you get a "Page not found" error. Regards, Jaredby 45352380 - ICT3612 Sem 1
Hi, @ 46470107 To answer your first question, NO I'm not using the __autoload function. Shouldn't all our code be on one page?by 45352380 - ICT3612 Sem 1
Hi Mac. The submission URL is closed. When will it be open again? I would like to submit my portfolio. Regards, Jared.by 45352380 - ICT3612 Sem 1
Hi, What error code/message are you getting? And on what line do you get the error message? Just from a quick look, 1) I see there in the "echo " statement there is a comma. Replace your comma's with FULL STOPS (.) 2) When you are creating a new object, there must be two brackets. E.g. Language: PHP$ralph = new Person(); Regards, Jaredby 45352380 - ICT3612 Sem 1
@ Mbux Try the following: Language: PHP<input type="text" name="some_textbox" value="<?php echo $value_to_output; ?>" /> The value of your textbox is the variable that holds the data. Got it from this link: "http://osprey.unisa.ac.za/phorum/read.php?753,175293" Regards, Jaredby 45352380 - ICT3612 Sem 1
Hi, this is what I'm going to do. One website, one URL. Assignment 1 has four pages: "Calc | String | Array | Function". Portfolio has the same four pages, with additional three pages "Calc | String | Array | Function | Leap | Server | Validation", in addition to this, Tut102 will ask us to include even more pages. * Each page on the website will have all the same menby 45352380 - ICT3612 Sem 1
Got it, thanks. As DF said, also please let us know when Tut 102 comes out. I might be slightly ahead with this module, but I'm behind on others... it's a constant juggling act that I'm sure we all experience Cheers, Jaredby 45352380 - ICT3612 Sem 1
Hi Mac. According to pg 12 of TUT101, there is suppose to be OO1.pdf in the additional resources folder on MyUnisa. Could you please upload it? Thanks, Jaredby 45352380 - ICT3612 Sem 1
Thanks for the feedbackby 45352380 - ICT3612 Sem 1
Hi Mac. Assignment 1 submission procedure, Step 2, is a little unclear for me. a) create new text file (COURSECODE_Ass......studentnumber.txt): DONE b) Type the full URL in the text file: DONE c) Add your code below URL: Unclear, must we add the HTML/PHP code for each of our pages into this text file. Each coded page separated by say; a line of hashes ####? Or what code are you referring toby 45352380 - ICT3612 Sem 1
Hi Rufus. According to TUT 101, top of page 9, yes you should be able to use your own domain to publish your website. Chow, Jaredby 45352380 - ICT3612 Sem 1
Using PHP code in the "VALUE" element/property works well. You can also review page 234 of the text book which relates to "Persisting User Data", Jaredby 45352380 - ICT3612 Sem 1
@ C Reddy: I am using Xampplite-win32-1.7.3.exe, (win7 64bit pro). Xampp has a nice control panel to manage your services. See attached. If you click the "port-check" button you see what services on your computer are using the port required by Xampp. (one of my games update engines was preventing Apache from running) To my knowledge, No, the MySql only has a admin web interface, not aby 45352380 - ICT3612 Sem 1
Umm, whats the course code for this forum? ICT2613? If this is correct, my TUT101 contains 23 pages.by 45352380 - PHP Sem 1
Question: Page 15 of Tutorial 101 asks us to make a index.html page to upload to the freewebhostingarea However, should this not be a PHP page, E.g. index.php ? Rds, Jaredby 45352380 - PHP Sem 1

Hi there. I've also just received my book from Kalahari.net - Sounds like this is going to be a fun module however there also seems to be a ton of work. Assignment 1 is not the normal multiple choice Good luck all - Going to start with all the intro manuals now. Jaredby 45352380 - PHP Sem 1
