Hi to who ever is still around,
I'm having fair success putting my current project together but now need to seriously consider What Next After PHP!
MVC , OOP and brussing up on MySQL is obvious. Is there a recommended follow up course, preferably to be taken
over a year, or should one seek counselling?

Hi all,
Now that's what what I call fair: Constructive criticism on where a person could have done better and
and marks, recognizing where student has made an effort to get it right. Made taking the course worthwhile.
Thank your all for your help and especially to Prof mac for his endurance..

Hi All,
Had the pleasure of running or testing " The Portfolio" on a live website over the weekend. The site had the Application WordPress installed.
It was just a matter of browsing for and downloading the pages we had written. What took the longest was remaking of make_tables.php
for the tables required for MySQL. I had deleted it before submitting my " Portfolio". I al

Hi Prof mac,
I think you provided us with an excellent course. In my case I would't have had the time to have learnt more than the basics. Still
learning and revising them in fact. What you have done is supplied us with a great set of templates and more importantly, the desire
to learn further. Congratulations from me!

Hi,
I've deliberately changed topic from OOP, because it was pointed out during the course, that I was using incorrect sections before.
Sipho, I hope you have followed to me here! Your question is interesting! bigron seems to have a fairly up to date
idea on what the current trends are. I hope he reads this, and gives us a few more pointers.

Re: OOP - 10 years ago
Hi Prof mac,
It seems that Sipho and I a similar problem. We realize that by doing this course that we've only seen the
tip of an iceberg. We now know we need to learn OOP but we are looking for your expertise as to what
else we should be looking at. Are there other courses available that would complement the one we have
just completed?

Hi there,
The course is complete, nothing we can do now but wait to see whether we met the grade. The learning
goes on. Has anyone tried out " Manipulating and Creating Images with PHP ". Chapter Seven of the
text book with any luck?

Hi Prof mac,
Is there a specific or recommended time for the deadline, or is it before 12 midnight, which i realize

Hi,
Was working in this section over three months ago. Back here again, the last thing that I have to do.
Somehow the concept of sending emails won't sink in. Can't even work out what question I'm supposed
to ask. Seems seems an important part, even after the course is complete

Hi Elizabeth,
Wow! you are pretty good at this. My code for that works but it really looks like it was written by an alien from cyberspace!
A good example on how to capture when more than course one is selected is on page 306 Chapter 10 in the textbook.
The JOIN, try changing the c with an s being "student etc,etc...."
Also battling to finish. Keep making silly mistakes that

Hi Prof mac,
I really do have a genuine problem expressing myself, so i'm sorry if you misunderstand my questions. The following is
copied from page 9 in the tut letter.

and email is sent to him and his classmates, the email containing an updated list of

Hi,
The tut letter states that " Administrators can add, view, edit and delete student details." It is not clear whether courses
are included, so does one assume that courses are also details? Fair question.

Hi Prof Mac,
The link is, I got lost in cyberspace!! Getting two SQL queries to work on one page. Not recommended !! Whereas using a transaction page probably
wouldn't have been to heavily frowned upon. Going to cost me big points.
